The bottom of the “visual madness” of Thomas Tournavitis’s expressionism figures, appears such as concrete, with obvious mental intentions. Thomas is a “DECADENT”, a “MAUDIT”, an innocent. He paints because he can not do otherwise. Such as he breaths without prayers.
He lives in a huge personal universe with total silence. The unique sound in this universe, it’s himself. He resonates to be not bothered by the silence. He does not seek any approval based on an immediate profit. His work is not a product of economy’s assignment.His work is governed by commands and unwritten laws which are the official reasons of importance. Thomas is a native of “utopia”. He wanders into a world of intoxication and dementia, into a world of initiation to illogicality. He is neither humble nor arrogant, he is being created by the sign of reverie and love. He respects the customs of his tribe. His work is a honest confession, is a representation of a dazzling interior life. His painting stimulates the central nerve of the intellect mind.

Thomas est un DÉCADENT, un MAUDIT, un innocent. Il peint car il ne peut pas faire autrement. Comme une respiration, comme une prière. Il vit dans un univers personnel immense, totalement silencieux. L’unique son c’est lui. Il résonne pour ne pas être gêné par le silence. Il ne recherche aucune approbation mondaine ni profit immédiat. Ses œuvres ne sont pas le produit d’une affectation, elles sont régies par des commandements et des lois tacites et c’est pourquoi elles sont importantes. Thomas est un natif de l’utopie. Il erre dans un univers d’ivresse et de démence, d’initiation et d’illogisme. Il n’est ni humble ni présomptueux, il crée sous le signe de la rêverie et de l’amour, il respecte les us et coutumes de sa tribu. Ses œuvres constituent d’honnêtes confessions, des représentations d’une vie intérieure fulgurante. Sa peinture stimule le nerf central de l’intellect.
